Meta hires former Trump advisor Dina Powell McCormick as president and vice chair

meta announced On Monday, it appointed former Trump advisor Dina Powell McCormick as president and vice president of the company. Meta said Powell McCormick will be a member of the company’s management team and will help guide Meta’s overall strategy and execution.

“Dina’s experience at the highest levels of global finance, coupled with her deep connections around the world, make her uniquely suited to help Meta manage the company’s next phase of growth as President and Vice President,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a blog post.

Before joining META, Powell McCormick served as Deputy National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump.

Trump celebrated this news truth in one post social Reading: “Congratulations to Dina Powell McCormick, who has recently been named the new President of META. A great choice by Mark Z!!! She is a brilliant and very talented individual who served the Trump Administration with strength and distinction.”

Powell McCormick previously served under Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during the George W. Bush administration. He also spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs as a partner in senior leadership roles.
