Apple to produce Made in America wireless chips with Broadcom

Apple signs $30 billion+ multiyear deal deal With Broadcom to design and produce more than 15 billion US-made custom wireless connectivity chips for Apple products.

As part of the deal, Apple will make $1.5 billion in capital expenditure investments to help expand Broadcom’s manufacturing facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. The collaboration builds on Apple’s existing relationship with Broadcom, the iPhone maker’s primary hardware supplier for wireless components.

This deal is part of Apple’s investment commitment $600 billion The pledge was made in response to increasing pressure from the Trump administration – on the US economy over the next four years.
