Organization behind the Academy Awards New Oscar rules released on Friday, including several addressing the use of generative artificial intelligence.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences stated that only “performances credited in the legal billing of the film and performed by human beings with their consent” would be eligible for Academy Awards. Similarly, the Academy stated that screenplays must be “human-written” to be eligible.
