A Senate Committee carried forward a bill to ban stock trades by MPs, Presidents and Vice Presidents despite all the Republican opposition to the panel, but Sen Josh Hale (R-Mo), who introduced the law.
The hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday made a stressful exchange between Halli, their Republican colleagues and the panel’s Democrats, especially whether the bill would be effective before the office of effective President Trump.
Sen Berney Morno (R-Ohio) said Sen Gary Peters (D-Match) during the controversy in an electronically dispute in the law, “I know more about technology in my pinky.”
The bill will ban Congress members and their spouse from trading stocks, which will require them to gradually divide their holding, as well as the President and Vice President – but only for future administration.
“I will oppose the replacement change because I think it should apply to everyone, or no,” said Rand Paul (R-K), who also voted against the last route. “Donald is crazy to exempt Trump from this.”
Republican argued that the restriction may discourage businessmen or rich by having an office, calling it “legislative demagogari” with Sen Ron Johnson (R-Wis).
“We can ban stock trading for the Congress, but President does not give more weapons to the Democrats to attack Trump,” Sen Rick Scott (R-Flow) said at the end of the 90-minute hearing.

It is not clear whether the GOP leadership will allow the bill to go on vote. A similar bill passed the same committee in the last summer, but never made it on the floor.
The house is also making noise about a possible stock ban, with rape Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla). Say Politico on Tuesday that it will file a discharge petition to vote on such prohibition.
