Mississippi governor calling for special session over state Supreme Court map after VRA decision


Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves (R) announced Friday that he will call a special session to consider new voting maps following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on a landmark redistricting case. Reeves said state lawmakers will return to Jackson, Miss., after 21 days to redraw election maps after the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the Louisiana case.
