Austin (Kxan) – At least 82 people have been killed in the horrific flash floods across Texas, while many others are missing.
Ker County, with a majority, has been confirmed death in six counties.
Ker county: 68 dead, 11 missing
At least 68 people, including 28 children, were killed in Ker County. In Sunday afternoon update, Sheriff Larry Litha said that 10 girls are missing from camp and a camp counselor.
Family members Identified some of those killedAstinite Michael McCon posted on Instagram that his daughter, Lini, Camp Mistic could not escape the floods. The family of Camper Leela Bonner also confirmed KXAN’s KXAN that she was one of the people killed in the floods.
Travis county: 6 dead, 11-13 missing
County Judge Andy Brown said six deaths have been confirmed in Travis County. The Sandy Creek region has been the most difficult hit.
Officers could not give an accurate number of missing people, but said it is around 11-13 till Sunday morning. There is a 17 -year -old girl in the missing.
Barnett county: 3 dead, 3 missing
Three people were killed in a flood in Burnett County. Sheriff’s office identified one of them as Preston Prince on Sunday afternoon.
Three other people are missing, including Michael Philips, head of the Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department. Four of the missing are believed to be in the Marble Falls region, while one is considered near Hamilton Creek in Burnett.
Kendal County: 2 dead
According to the County’s emergency management office, two people were killed in Kendal County. Further details were not immediately available.
Williamson County: 2 dead, 1 missing
Two people have been murdered in Williamson County, while another is missing. In Sunday afternoon update, Sheriff Matt Lindman said one of the victims was found to be stuck partially under the vehicle, partially suborned near the County Road 284.
County officials later recognized one of the victims as 22 -year -old Catilin Swallo from Liberty Hill area.
Tom Green County: 1 dead
Tom Green County officials confirmed that a 62 -year -old woman was killed in the flood. According to the city of San Angelo, he was found in his vehicle after the first disappearance was reported.
