Judge limits White House to ‘below-ground construction’ of ballroom 


A federal judge has limited President Trump’s White House ballroom project to “construction below ground,” rejecting the administration’s claims that the entire project should proceed for safety reasons. U.S. District Judge Richard Lyons, appointed by former President George W. Bush, ruled last month that construction of the $400 million ballroom must stop except “as necessary to ensure safety and security.”
