Despite White House statements to the contrary on Friday, Iran said it will not meet the US directly in upcoming talks brokered by Pakistan. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai said, “No meeting is planned between Iran and the US, Iran’s comments will be conveyed to Pakistan.”
