National Economic Council (NEC) Director Kevin Hassett said on Monday that Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Wersh is not seeking advice from the White House on monetary policy. “We’re very close friends,” Hassett said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” referring to Warsh. He told host Joe Kernan, “We’ve known each other for 30 years… We definitely talk.”
