Austin (Kxan) – A woman from Texas says Flood water on Saturday morningClimbed a tree and managed to survive.
Melissa Higinbotham, Travis County Emergency Services District 1 Station and Round Mountain Baptist Lives in Leander, below the road. He explained that, around midnight, he saw that there was water in the yard in front of him.

The truck in Higinbotham and his family started swimming.
They hit a tree, creep out of the truck’s window, and climbed the tree. Higinbutham, his father and his daughter stayed there for about two hours until some more emergency crew came.

“God was with us and God ensured that we are fine,” Higinbotham said.
Those around him, many of whom are families, were helping to take the pieces on Sunday.
“It’s best, it’s best, there are no two ways about it. The community supporting the community,” he said.
Baptist Church opens its doors
A few roads down, the round mountain baptist church has opened its doors to help people get information. The front door has a list of people who may disappear.
Catherine Wagner, who works in the church, said, “While it is disastrous, it is also astonishing to work together to see the band together and provide space to the people.”
Wagner said that the biggest need is that she is watching right now, for information, help people find loved ones, who have not been seen since the end of this week since the floods.
“People just want to know what is going on, they want to know where their loved ones are,” he said.
