College baseball is really showing what it’s made of. With Texas and Texas A&M heating up this past weekend, Georgia Tech and Florida State giving us a thriller, and Rutgers pushing the nation’s No. 1 team to 14 innings, the game is giving us the best of everything.
And despite being pushed to extra innings, UCLA is not giving up the top spot just yet as the Bruins remain steady at No. 1. After the series win over the Longhorns, Texas A&M moved up eight spots into the top 10 in the rankings for the first time this season. UCF and Southern Miss posted the biggest drops this week, as they dropped nine and 12 spots, respectively.
Although it gained momentum last week, LSU has fallen out of the rankings again after falling to Ole Miss. Nebraska is also missing from the rankings this week, as the Cornhuskers lost two games to Oregon. Taking their spots are Kansas at No. 18 and Florida at No. 20, which have bounced in and out of the rankings over the past few weeks.
Here are the complete Top 25 rankings as of April 13, as well as our favorite moments and what we’re looking forward to in the week ahead.

top moment
From an epic Bowl 5 chant to swarms of boos, Texas had a tough weekend in College Station as Jim Schlossnagle returned to A&M for the first time since coaching the Longhorns.

And to stay in the Masters spirit, this first pitching change in Arkansas was extremely fun to watch.

player to watch
Mason Edwards, LHP USC
Edwards has been on a heater for the Trojans. He has a 1.35 ERA, and he’s a big reason the Trojans look so good. This past weekend, he tallied 16 Ks, and he led the nation in strikeouts at 95. As we get closer and closer to the NCAA Tournament, there’s no telling what kind of fire he can bring.

game worth watching
No. 19 Oregon vs. No. 6 Oregon State
Tuesday 9 PM (Hillsboro, Oregon)
We love mid-week in-state matchups, and honestly it was tough to decide between Oregon-Oregon State and Southern Miss-Ole Miss, but we’re headed to the Pacific Northwest to watch our game. The Beavers have been steadily climbing the rankings this season, and they are looking better week by week. A win over the Ducks would certainly help boost their NCAA Tournament resume if they’re eyeing a top-eight finish. Oregon, meanwhile, is one of the top teams in the Big Ten and has two wins over Nebraska. A win here will definitely motivate the Ducks for the latter half of the season where they will face the other two top teams in the conference in UCLA and USC.
