los angeles chargers The team announced Tuesday that offensive coordinator Greg Roman and offensive line coach Mike Devlin have been fired following their playoff exit.
Jim Harbaugh hired Roman as his offensive coordinator when he returns to the NFL as coach of the Chargers in 2024. Roman has been Harbaugh’s only offensive coordinator during his time in the NFL, he also held the role for the San Francisco 49ers when Harbaugh was the coach from 2011 to 2014.
The Chargers scored just 3 points in Sunday night’s wild-card loss new England Patriots.
After the loss, Harbaugh was asked if Roman was the right playcaller for the team and said, “I don’t have an answer to that right now.”
The Chargers suffered several injuries on their offensive line this season, including at bookend tackle Rashawn Slater And joe altDue to which he was forced to reshuffle his lineup.
