House speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) Made an attempt from the repse on Sunday. Thomas Massey (R-K.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif).
“The House Republican in any way insists on releasing all reliable evidence and information related to Epstein,” Johnson told NBC News’s Christon Velkar on “meeting the press”.
He said, “But we are also insisting on the safety of innocent victims. And our concern is that the Massey and Khanna discharge petition is careless in such a way that it has been drafted and presented. It does not include sufficiently those security,” he said.
Earlier this month, Massey said he would try to use a long-shot procedural gambit to vote for the Department of Justice to release the files related to Epstein.
Massey said in a post on the social platform X in mid -July, “We are all worth knowing what is in Epstein files, who has implicated, and how deep this corruption is. Americans were promised justice and transparency.”
He said, “We are starting a discharge petition to vote in the US House of Representatives on releasing the entire files.”

“I think when we come back, we can get the required signature to force it to the floor. Speaker Mike Johnson should do the right thing and just bring it to the floor and we don’t need to force it,” Massey said about his and Khanna’s effort.
