American Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acting director Tod Leone said in an interview that on Sunday aired that his agency would tighten up to American companies hiring unauthorized workers.
Lyonss said on CBS News’s “Face the Nation”, “Not only we are focusing on individuals you know, working illegally here, we are focusing on these American companies that are actually exploiting these laborers.”
He said, “These people who came here for a better life. You know, forcibly labor, child smuggling, you know, many cases of these work sites – just a person who works illegally is not a victim’s crime,” he said. “And that’s why we are going there with these criminal warrants to focus on these American businesses who are trying to make an additional dollar on the back of these people who came here for a better life.”
In the first few months of his second term, President Trump and his administration exploded heavy on immigration, criticized the democrats and advocates.
On Sunday, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) Criticized The argument of the Trump administration to allow ICE officials to wear masks as a way to protect themselves and their families from vengeance.
Bass said, “First, first of all, let me tell you that masked men are not from Los Angeles, and therefore how to retaliate against their families.”
He said, “And then local law enforcement, Los Angeles Police Department, none of which are ever masked, who always recognize themselves and even hand over business cards to someone. So it is absolutely no meaning.”
