Other investors in this latest round include Insight Partners and Thrive Capital. The company has raised funding of $138.5 million so far.
A portion of the fresh capital will be spent on expanding Fora’s AI assistant, Via, which helps travel agents on its platform with arduous administrative tasks like research and itinerary creation. The hope is that human travel agents who use the platform can spend more time building customer relationships, and using Fora’s AI will help human productivity rather than attempting to replace it.
Flora said that since its launch, agents on the platform have booked more than $3 billion worth of travel, with the majority of its agent users new to providing travel advice. The company also hopes to use the money to hire and grow into other travel categories like cruises and flights.
