Chemistry Ventures, VC firm launched two years ago Bessemer is raising $500 million for its second fund, led by Index Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz alumni. According to the SEC filing.
Founded by Mark Goldberg, Ethan Kurzweil, and Christina Shen, Chemistry launched with $350 million in funding and invests in early-stage startups building AI, including infrastructure and apps. Its portfolio companies include Granola, Decagon, Persona, Serval and Nova Intelligence.
Goldberg previously worked with Index Ventures, Kurzweil with Bessemer, and Shen with a16z. The trio started the firm to combine their experience working at large venture capital firms.
wall street journal reports The second fund has already been oversubscribed and fundraising is expected to close soon.
