Eating disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder show shared brain gene expression changes

Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine and the Lieber Institute for Brain Development at Mount Sinai have identified substantial similarities in brain gene activity between people with eating disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), providing new evidence that both psychological disorders share an underlying biological basis.
