Elon Musk’s last co-founder reportedly leaves xAI

Earlier this month, it seemed that all but two of the 11 co-founders of Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI had quit. left the company. Now, according to Business Insider, the two remaining co-founders, Manuel Croix and Ross Nordeen, have also departed.

BI said on Wednesday that Croix had Told people he was leaving xAIthen reported it Nordeen left the company on Friday.

According to BI, Krois and Nordeen both reported directly to Musk, with Krois leading the company’s pretraining team, while Nordeen was Musk’s “right-hand operator.” Nordean reportedly came to XAI from Tesla, and was involved in planning major layoffs at Twitter after Musk acquired the company in 2022.
