TikTok is launching a new feature that will allow users to share content from Amazon Music to the social network, the company exclusively told TechCrunch.
With a new “Share to TikTok” button, Amazon Music users can share songs, albums, playlists, and personal listening highlights from their Insights on Amazon Music directly to TikTok.
For context, Amazon Music Insights is a new personalized feature that gives listeners a detailed look at their music habits and statistics. This includes “Monthly Recaps” that highlight your top artists, songs, podcasts, and total listening time. Amazon Music users can now share these stats directly to TikTok.
TikTok already supports “Share to TikTok” features for both Spotify and Apple Music,
TikTok says this update builds on its current partnership with Amazon Music through its “Add to Music App” feature, which allows users to save songs discovered on TikTok directly to Amazon Music and other major streaming services.
Thursday’s announcement holds significance for TikTok, an app known for influencing which songs top the charts. By adding Amazon Music to its “Share to TikTok” options, TikTok gains an increased ability to connect users to their favorite songs and artists.
