Microsoft Azure, the cloud computing service provided by the company, is experiencing a significant outage on Wednesday. The problems began around 12 p.m. ET, and Microsoft also has accepted Problem on service status page.
According to Microsoft, “We suspect that an inadvertent configuration change caused this issue.” The company has not told when the service will be restored.
Several Microsoft services went offline as part of this outage, including Microsoft 365, Xbox, and Minecraft. The websites of other businesses like Costco and Starbucks are also inaccessible.
The outage comes just hours before Microsoft is scheduled to announce its earnings results this afternoon.
This also follows the outage experienced recently Amazon AWS A week ago. The incident affected various websites, banks and some government services.
