Luxury car-producer Jaguar Land Rover will not resume production for another week in its factories as it continues to fight with a cyber attack.
In early September, Jaguar Land Rover stopped production After being influenced by a cyber attack in its factories in Britain, hackers stole the company’s data. Jaguar Land Rover has not said whether the data was stolen.
Jaguar Land Rover Said in a statement on Tuesday Production suspension will continue till next week, especially Wednesday 1 October. But the company then did not commit to resume production, just saying that “this decision was taken to give clarity for the coming weeks as we build a timeline for a phased restart of our operation and continue our investigation.”
Francis Robertson-Maryat, a spokesman at Jaguar Land Rover, who is owned by Tata Motors of India refused to comment when Techkachch asked if the company had a time time for restoration of production.
The factories have now been closed for three weeks. Constant shutdown will also affect suppliers who are Allegedly Concerned about being forced into bankruptcy.
