Trump administration not participating in UN two-state solution conference

The State Department said on Monday that it would not participate in an initiative in France and Saudi Arabia in the United Nations, which supports the two-state solutions of Israel and Palestinian conflict, criticizing the summit that is harmful to the ceasefire efforts between Israel and Hamas.

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said the United Nations Two-State Solutions Conference is a “sick-stunt that will further enhance Hamas and weaken our serious diplomatic efforts to end the war.”

“The United States of July July will not attend the United Nations’ two-State Solution Conference,” Bruce Xe“We will continue to work with partners towards a resolution.”

President Trump has held back from supporting a long-running US policy supporting a two-state solution to end Israel and Palestinian conflict, which aims to establish a Palestinian kingdom in the areas of West Bank and Gaza Strip, preserving Israeli’s security.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has for decades to reduce the establishment of a Palestinian kingdom in West Bank and Gaza. During a meeting at the White House in July, Trump postponed Netanyahu whether the Israeli leader supports the two-state solution. Netanyahu replied that Palestinians may have self-government, but Israel should maintain final security control.

Trump for most parts with Netanyahu and Israel, but the President has regularly shown that he will do unilateral work on policies that are in his views. Trump has indicated that he wants to be able to take credit for establishing a relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia, but Riyadh’s red line is not absent of the Palestinian state with Israel.

Last week, Trump sent his ambassador to Israel, Mike Hukabi to meet Palestinian Authority Vice President Hussain Al-Shik. A part of the interaction to end the war between Israel and Hamas is an alternative governing body for the strip. While the Palestinian Authority is present in the strip, it is not seen as the most reliable actor or strongest political body to control it.

And the conversation for a ceasefire for war has stopped. The latest struggle began when Hamas attacked a terrorist attack against Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people and took 251 hostages. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, there are about 60,000 people in Gaza during the conflict, there are about 60,000 people who do not distinguish between terrorists and citizens.

The Trump administration has convicted Hamas as an obstacle for peace, but the Gaza Strip’s Israeli’s demolition and the human crisis on the Palestinians has distanced Jerusalem.

Last week, French President Emanuel Macron announced that Paris would recognize a Palestinian kingdom, a large -scale symbolic step, but is one who probably triggers the alarm in Jerusalem whether other major industrial nations would follow the suit and grant recognition of the Palestinian state.

Trump indicated a break with Netanyahu on Monday when he fessed up “Real starvation” is happening.

Over the weekend, Israel announced that he would open additional human corridors to provide colleagues in Gaza, allowing for delivery and fighting to carry out drops of assistance.
