Ke Yang, the Apple executive who is leading efforts to build the iPhone-maker’s AI-powered web search, is headed to Meta, according to A report from Bloomberg,

A few weeks ago, Yang began overseeing the Answers, Knowledge and Information (AKI) team, which is tasked with improving Siri’s functionality by allowing it to pull information from the web so that Apple can better compete with rivals like OpenAI, Perplexity and Google in the AI search market. The new Siri also promises to be able to use personal data for more complex tasks.
Bloomberg reports that the rest of Apple’s team expects more AI team members to join in the coming months.
