Joint Aadhaar Almandorf-Richardson, Alaska-President Trump said on Friday that he progressed on major points during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but did not specify what they were or what disagreement remained to achieve peace in Ukraine.
“We didn’t reach there, but we have a good chance,” Trump said, indicating that there was no final agreement outside Friday’s talks.
The President did not question or gave no other details. He indicated that he would talk with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelancesi after the summit in Alaska on Friday.
The two leaders despite talking about progress, neither did anyone offer any nuances about what looked in tangible words.
Trump said, “We had a very productive meeting, and consensus on several points. There are very few who are left,” Trump said. “Some are not important. One probably is most important.”
Trump and Putin met for about three hours. A meeting was believed to have been formed with a three-three meeting with the top colleagues, in which Trump was involved in the state’s secretary Marco Rubio and special envoys Steve Witcoof.
As Putin spoke at Friday’s joint press conference, Trump mostly placed a straight face and rarely saw his Russian counterpart.
The Russian President warned the leaders in Europe and in Ukraine to reduce any progress made during Friday’s discussion.
As Trump wrapped his comment, he suggested that he must be looking at Putin again in the near future. Trump had indicated in recent times that Friday’s meeting was as a pioneer of a summit with both Putin and Zelancesi who could achieve peace.
“Next time in Moscow,” Putin replied in English.
