Bowser re-ups call for statehood amid Trump DC crackdown

DC Mayor Muril Boussar (D) pushed again to the state of the district amid the rift of President Trump in the nation’s capital.

“We have seen a low crime in the city, violent crime, especially after a post-coid spike that we accept, and we got later, and we reduced the numbers in 2023. We reported the lowest level of violent crime in 30 years last year. So we are not taking our feet away from gas,” Bauzer said “breakfast club” radio show.

“We are continue to work, but we think that this action act type of cities, about using force, about the strict on crime, and I can say a little more why DC is different, but this is the time when America needs to know that the capital of your country, a place where 700,000 taxes should be made live,”

While DC has three election votes in the presidential elections, the Congress does not have voting representatives and the federal government maintains the level of control over the district.

On Monday, Trump announced that it was Federal control DC’s police department and deploying national guards in the city for crime.

Bausar has pushed for DC FirstEspecially after 6 January, 2021, after the US capital attack.

“We should receive the kingdom at the President’s desk within the first 100 days of the 117th Congress,” Busar said at a press conference at that time. “The Congress should immediately take command of the district of Columbia National Guard from the President of the United States and will have to keep it squares under the command and control of the Colombia district.
