Democratic National Committee (DNC) President Ken Martin said on Sunday that the Democrats “absolutely” are well deployed to fight against Republican redistributed efforts.
Martin was asked in an interview on “The Hill Sunday” of the news should be in a position to fight back on it, “States like California will need to be replaced to democrats to make the same effort given that the law will need to change the law.
“Absolutely we are, whether it is in courts, whether it is held on the ground, which we are doing,” Martin said in the interview.
Martin said he considers redistribution efforts unconstitutional, but said that the Democrats are ready to play the Republican game.
Martin said, “The reality is that we already have a Craven Power Grab, a unconstitutional power, in my mind.” “Look, the Constitution says very clearly that we have a dysenial census. We draw the lines after that. State assemblies are allowed to do so, but it does not essentially give them the power to re -prepare the lines whenever they want to do it.
At the same time, he said, “We are going to fight with fire.”
“If Texas wants a Taslim, which they do clearly, we are going to give them Tasleem,” Martin said.
Martin said that he had talked to Democrats across the country about potentially redistributed efforts.
“And I have spoken with many Democratic governors across the country, and as you can tell, they are already preparing to follow the suit here.”
