Washington DC – Washington Commander Going home The DC Council voted between the team and the city to approve a deal, paving the way for the franchise to return to the district.
The council voted 9-3-required a two-thirds majority-to approve plans for a football stadium on that site where the franchise enjoyed its best days.
The council should vote again on September with this measure, but many sources involved in this process said that the team has been told that it could move forward with their plans after Friday’s vote, knowing that the second vote is expected to result in the same results.
