Chicago cub And Wrigley Field 2027’s Major League Baseball will host the All-Star game, the commissioner Rob Manfred announced on Friday.
The game will be played on 13 July 2027.
Manfred said in a statement, “All Wrigleyville of Wrigleyville have been hard to convert into an excellent destination.” “We are ready to bring back the midsmor classic in the historic Wrigley Field and work with cubs, city and state officials, and to bring an extraordinary experience for baseball fans of the local event group Chicago.”
The Wrigley Field will host the all-star game for the fourth time. The American League won the previous meetings in 1947, 1962 and 1990.
The 1990 All-Star game was historically known for low aggressive output. The National League was held for two hits, the lowest for an all-star team in history. Eight-Man Home Run Derby Field scored five domestic runs, with Rhine Sandberg won the competition with three homes.
The cubs first approached MLB about the host of an all-star game eight years ago. But for several reasons, he was not yet honored by one, including safety concerns with other cities and safety concerns with ballparks in a stirring neighborhood. Chicago approved a major obstacle in June, when the city passed an ordinance, widening the footpaths with Edison Street and widening the bowlads to be installed around the ballpark.
“I think we are probably overdue in the case of being in Wrigley,” said Manfred. “Richets family, Chicago city and Illinois state made a tremendous investment not only in Ballpark but also in its surrounding area. I think it would be a great place for our all-star festival.”
Wrigley is ready to join the field CleavelandAs a ballpark to host only four all-star games as the municipal stadium and the old Yanki Stadium. The city of Chicago will host this program for the eighth time, second for New York with nine.
Illinois village. JB Pritzkar, a cub fan, participated in Friday’s announcement and said the Wrigley Field “the right place to host the all-star game”.
“For over 100 years, it has been a bright symbol of the world of baseball and our country’s favorite pastime,” he said. “There is no place in it.”
The chairman of the cub, Tom Rickets lived in the neighborhood when the last time the cub hosted the all-star game. But he could not be present.
“I did not have a flour,” he said.
Rickets have assumed data for an up-close view this time, assuming that the game has been determined. There is some doubt to end after the 2026 season with the collective bargain agreement of baseball, although Manfred expressed confidence that the owner and players would avoid a long work stagnation.
Asked about a possible casual plan, if there is a strike or lockout, he said: “My casual plan is to make a compromise with the players and play 2027 seasons.”
The 2026 All-Star game will be as part of the 250th anniversary of American independence in Philadelphia.
