Republicans eye efforts to quiet Epstein uproar but can't quash it

The House Republican, who was on obstacles throughout the week to deal with the revelations of the Jeffrey Epstein of the Trump administration, is stopping their breath to see if the tsunami of criticism on their Aadhaar on the matter is finally decreasing.

GOP members on House Rules CommitteeVoted in favor of a resolutionTo issue more material related to late rich and associated sexual offenders to direct the Attorney General Palm Bondi. President Trump trusted and directed BondiRequest grand jury testimonyIt should be ignored from Epstein’s case. And are banding together to dismiss the Republican andCriticizeReport about Wall Street Journal’s “Bawdi” birthday letter was sent by Trump more than two decades ago.

But none of those developments have the weight to relax the Epstein’s case completely.

The proposal of the Rules Committee, for the beginning, has no legal weight to force the Trump administration to issue any material. Instead, it asks for the disclosure of some information, while the Bandi gives the ability to withdraw some parts.

Rape. Chip Roy (R-Texas), one of the members of the Niyam panel, who voted to pursue the resolution, rejected the criticism-arguing that a binding bill would not go anywhere in the Senate and would do much less for the release of the material, even though Trump has signed it. This is better, he said, at least one integrated statement from the Republican, and the platform for other possible inspection is set.

“If they don’t” release Epstein content, Roy said, “So we have powers [in] Whatever the Congress can do then, it can do it, which is being heard, people testify, have the power of oversight, purse. They are our real powers. ,

But it is not clear that Republicans will also create that integrated statement. House GOP leaders have not committed to bring a floor vote on resolution and refuse to do so can get out of GOP MPs who are the most provoked by Epstein saga and are insisting on seeing information.

“We will determine what happens to all that,” Johnson said that the hill was asked if he would pledge on the floor. “A lot is developing. The President made his statements this afternoon, he asked the Attorney General to release information, I am sure he will do, and everyone can take their decisions about it.”

The matter was suppressed, he said in a similar way, “We will see how all this develops.”

He said, “We suit the White House, there is no daylight between us,” he said. “We want transparency, and I think it will be given to people.”

It is possible, then, this resolution serves as very little but political cover for the Republican members of the Niyam Samiti, which were frightening for days after reducing a democratic modification in support of releasing more Epstein content in the first week. Members of the panel delayed the final passage in the first department (DOGE) of the government, which cuts public broadcasting and foreign aid as they interacted on the vote of a committee on GOP Epstein resolution.

Another Epstein-relief effort has threatened to keep the issue alive in the Congress, however.

Rape. Thomas Massey (R-Ky.) And rape. File a discharge petition Topass the GOP leadership and try to force a vote on their Epstein revelations bill. They will need to reach 218 signature – and already there are 14 others Coponsors On measurement, including 10 other Republicans.

The petition may open as soon as the next week, but there is a waiting period before forcing the floor action – which means that the case that has a rapidly divided Aadhap’s base can still be a live issue from now, when the Congress returns from the upcoming August holiday.

While the discharge petition lingers, some who have called for more revelations, are directing Trump’s move, directing Bondi to request that the courts ignored the testimony from the Epstein case.

“This is the correct course of action. Thanks @agpambondi and @Redonaldtrum,” rape. Marjori Taylor Green (R-GO) wrote on X in response to Trump’s announcement.

But other people note that the testimony tape is only a part of the materials that may give new insights into other rich and powerful people who are accused of participating in the misuse of young girls, as Epstein did.

Former federal prosecutor, Rape Dan Goldman (DN.Y.) performed the case late on Thursday at X, soon after Trump’s announcement, Bandy, telling: “Good effort.”

Goldman wrote, “What about videos, photographs and other recording? What about FBI 302 (Witness Interview)? What about texts and emails? This is the place where there will be evidence about Trump and others.” “Grand jury testimony will be related to Epstein and Maxwell only.”

But as the Epstein was dragged to the Epstein outrage saga, Trump got a boost – although with the release of a Wall Street Journal article, underlining his previous connections to Epstein, “Bawdi” completed with the details of the 50th birthday letter that had a doodle of a naked woman.

“Anigmus Never Age, Trump’s birthday message:” can be another wonderful secret every day every day. “

The report clearly impressed the President, who rejected the report strictly and said “he never wrote a picture in my life”. He threatened to sue the Wall Street Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch.

But the report also had the effect of uniting the Republican in cursing the report – even those who were broken on release of more Epstein content with Trump.

Rape. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio) called the report “nonsense”.

“If President Trump had committed real offenses, Democrats would not have needed to make goods for their lofty plans. If it was true, it would have been used,” DavissonPostedThursday night at X.

Even Elon Musk – who helped turbocharged the Epstein saga last month when he said that Trump was mentioned in the files – came to protect the President, announcing that “the letter is profitable.”

Rape. Tim Bircht (R-Ten.) Said that with the development of the week, public resentment would “eventually” die.

“But I don’t think perfectly,” said the bernite.
