U.S. economy slowed to 1.5% growth rate in Q2; June core inflation at 3.3%

The personal consumption expenditures price index was expected to rise 3.7% from a year ago on headline and 3.3% on core, according to the Dow Jones consensus. Also, gross domestic product was projected to increase at a 1.8% annualized rate.
