Democratic Senator Gary Peters (Mr.) said Tuesday that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was a “failure” and lacked the leadership needed to win the Iran war. “Secretary Haig said, despite your failure to win this war, you have come back to ask Congress for approximately $70 billion of additional funding,” Peters said at an appropriations hearing.
