The Secret Service reported an officer-involved shooting near the National Mall on Monday, which resulted in emergency response teams responding. The shooting occurred at 15th Street and Independence Avenue, adjacent to the Washington Monument. “One individual was shot by law enforcement; his condition is currently unknown,” the Secret Service wrote in a post.
