Russell Wilson Stepped into his baseball – or should we say banana ball? — This weekend’s era.
On Sunday, the Super Bowl XLVIII-winning quarterback put on the uniform Savanna Bananas For their matchup against the Party Animals at Yankee Stadium.
Wilson, who last suited up for the NFL New York Giants In 2025, there’s a chance for bananas on a plate. A piece of the bat broke off as he ran toward first base, but his bouncer before first was turned into a walk play to end the inning.

In the end, Wilson did not get the win from Bananas. The Party Animals won 7–2, handing the Bananas their second loss of the year.
The 37-year-old Wilson was waived in Week 4 of last season and is now an unrestricted free agent. In January, he told reporters He is “not blinking” and plans to continue playing in the NFL.
Wilson threw for 831 yards and three touchdowns with the Giants in 2025.
