
President Trump said on Sunday that US officials will not travel Pakistan for peace talks Regarding Iran war.
“We have all the cards. If they want to talk, they can come to us, or they can call us. You know, there’s a telephone,” Trump said while appearing on Fox News’ “The Sunday Briefing.”
He added, “We have good secure lines, although I’m not sure any telephone line is secure, to be honest, but we have secure lines, and we can talk if they want, but we’re not sending people on 18-hour trips to meet us.”
The president made similar comments on Saturday, when he canceled talks in Islamabad, Pakistan.
“I have canceled the travel of my representatives to Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet with the Iranians,” Trump wrote at the time.
“Too much time wasted in travel, too much work! Furthermore, there is tremendous infighting and confusion within their ‘leadership’,” he added. “Nobody knows who’s in charge. Besides, we have all the cards, they don’t have any! If they want to talk, they just have to call!!!”
