Avalanche’s Nazem Kadri to miss ‘some games’ with finger injury

Denver– avalanche Ahead nazem qadri Colorado coach Jared Bednar said Thursday that he will miss “a few games” because of the finger injury.

Bednar added the Avalanche are hopeful he will be back in the lineup before the playoffs, perhaps as soon as next week. The Avalanche have five games remaining, including Thursday night’s matchup against calgary flames.

Colorado has already clinched the top seed in the Central Division and the Western Conference. A win over Calgary clinches the Presidents Trophy, which goes to the team with the best NHL record.

Kadri suffered the injury in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over the Blues in St. Louis. He has four goals and five assists in 16 games since being acquired by Colorado as part of a trade deadline agreement with the Flames on March 6.

Kadri, 35, helped lead Colorado to a Stanley Cup title in 2022.
