ORLANDO, FLORIDA — Prosecutors are looking for Tiger Woods‘ A week after he crashed his vehicle in Florida, prescription drug records were found at a pharmacy and he was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Prosecutors in Martin County, Florida, said Tuesday they planned to issue a subpoena seeking copies of all prescription drug records for the 15-time major champion at Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach, Florida.
According to an online court document, prosecutors want the time the prescriptions were filled, the number of pills, the dosage amount and any instructions accompanying the pills, such as warnings about driving while taking them.
Neither Lewis Pharmacy nor Woods’ attorney, Doug Duncan, immediately responded to an email seeking comment.
Woods pleaded not guilty in his DUI case in Florida last week, hours after a sheriff’s report said deputies found two pain pills in his pocket and that he showed signs of impairment after his SUV collided with a trailer and rolled on its side.
Woods said last week that he was leaving his post for treatment.
This is the second time Woods has taken time off following a car accident. In 2009, when his SUV crashed into a fire hydrant and tree outside his home near Orlando, he took time off to work on becoming a better person. That leave lasted four months and he returned to the Masters.
He was also injured in a car accident in Los Angeles in 2021, which damaged his right leg so badly that doctors considered amputation.
