Reese’s relationship with the franchise, which drafted him No. 7 overall in 2024, became strained after he expressed concern publicly on the team’s point guard position and hinted that the team will need to bring in great players this offseason or it may consider moving on.
“I’m not settling for the same thing we did this year,” Reese told The Chicago Tribune in September. “We have to bring in good players. We have to bring in great players. That’s non-negotiable for me. I’m willing and want to play with the best players.”
