Buzz cut for a cause: Drake Maye debuts new look

new England Patriots quarterback drake may shaved his head for charity on Tuesday as he continues to expand his philanthropy as he enters his third NFL season. In a fun twist, his wife Ann Michael provided the opening discussion.

Mae, 23, was the guest of honor at the 13th annual “Saving by Shaving” event hosted by Granite Telecom in Quincy, Massachusetts – the proceeds of which benefited Boston Children’s Hospital.

“We love kids,” May told reporters at the event. “They are often the biggest fans of us players, and I think being able to shine a positive light and be there for them and help them in any way we can is a great feeling.”

Organizers told reporters that Tuesday’s event raised more than $4 million.

Mayde’s appearance follows the announcement of the formation of her own charitable organization, the Mayday Foundation, which will focus on serving children and families in need in New England and her native North Carolina.

An early event, a softball game, is scheduled for May 31 at Polar Park in Worcester, Massachusetts.

“I think it’s one of the greatest things in life to be where I am today and to be able to give back,” he told reporters. He highlighted Ann Michael’s involvement, saying that she is “looking forward to doing it together, that’s the best part.”
