There’s a new number 1! Texas is now in the top spot. The Longhorns have won their last 26 games – their only loss on the season came against Nebraska in early February. The second-biggest mover in the top 10 was Florida, which won two of its three games against then-No. 1. 1 Tennessee last week. No longer undefeated in the poll, Grand Canyon lost its first game last Tuesday. And at the bottom of the top 25, UCF was replaced by Arizona State.

Kania Bragg, INF, UCLA
Bragg recently won Big Ten Player of the Week honors after a strong performance in UCLA’s series against Rutgers. In the first game, Bragg went 4-4 with 2 RBI. She is batting .455 on the season and will be a key factor in UCLA’s big series against Nebraska this week.

It was a tough weekend for Mississippi State, which lost two of its three games against then-No. 13 Georgia. But midway through the third and deciding game, outfielder Tatum Silva made an over-the-shoulder catch to save at least one run.

This will be the toughest test of the season for the top ten teams. The top two programs in the Big Ten have been at it for nearly a month. Nebraska has won its last 13 games and UCLA has won 22 in a row with three losses in its first nine games since starting the season. This series will be an opportunity for both the teams to understand how they will perform against the toughest opponent.
