Ohtani wins again as Japan beats South Korea

Suzuki scored four runs and masataka yoshida Homered and Samurai had three RBIs for the Warriors, who overcame a 3-0 deficit in the first inning.
A day after hitting a grand slam in a 13–0 win over Taiwan, Ohtani hit the tying home run on a hanging curve off Young Pyo Ko in the third.
Suzuki hit a two-run homer in the second. Two batters after Ohtani’s drive, Suzuki followed with a 4–3 lead. Yoshida scored on the second pitch of reliever Byeong Hyeon Jo.

Japan and Australia lead 2-0 in Group C and will clash on Sunday as favorites to reach the quarter-finals.

Naylor brothers’ defense, Casey’s 2-run HR give Canada lead over Colombia
Run-saving defensive play by the brothers Passion And bo Naylor gave Canada a first-inning boost in San Juan, Puerto Rico and owen casey Canada defeated Colombia 8–2 on a two-run homer by second emergency starter Austin Burgener.
Julio Teheran was a last-minute scratch as Colombia’s starting pitcher, leaving the 35-year-old Bergner, who last pitched in MLB in 2024, to take the short-notice start after Teheran felt a right shoulder injury during warmups.
