Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said House GOP leadership wants to see the Senate pass a full-year funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security rather than a short-term or even long-term continuing resolution (CR) to fund the department at current levels. His position differs from that of Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.).
