House Republican moves to permanently repeal sanctions on Syria

As long as we canceled the law, investors will not take the necessary risks for long -term investment in Syria which will be necessary to make Syria great again.”

While Trump announced in May that he was lifting all sanctions on Syria, he is only able to issue 180-day exemption for the Caesar Act allowing international transactions with Syrian central banks and government ministries. Overall, the cancellation of the law will allow investors to make long -term commitments without the threat of restrictions.

The Caesar Act’s 2019 route was observed as a historic law to implement the most difficult sanctions against Assad for violation of gross human rights under his rule and in the civil war of the entire country, which began in 2011.

The bill was named for a Syrian whistleblower, which was carried forward to Al Madan, which was the code-name Caesar and highlighted the assassin and killing of the prisoners. Al Madan was a photographer who worked with the Syrian Army and smuggled photographic evidence of war crimes.
