One year into President Donald Trump’s second term, his administration’s focus on undocumented immigrants has intensified, following a spate of shootings by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in recent weeks amid outrage. Protests have erupted across the country, including in Texas, where local law enforcement agencies have rushed to sign up as force multipliers to help ICE carry out its stated mission to “make your community safer.”
