Giants co-owner Steve Tisch named in latest Epstein files

Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein linked New York Giants Co-owner Steve Tisch has been with multiple women, according to many of the emails among more than 3 million documents released Friday by the Justice Department.

Tish’s name has appeared at least 440 times in the documents released so far. The email, first reported by The Athletic, included the usual platitudes — “Jeffrey says Steve Tisch should be arriving around 7-7:30 tonight. Breakfast everyone!” –To the impure. In an email, Epstein asks: “Did you contact the great ass fake tits [name redacted]”

Tisch, 76, is the Giants’ chairman, co-owner and vice president and has produced dozens of Hollywood films, including “Forrest Gump” and “Risky Business.”

“We had a brief relationship where we exchanged emails about adult women and, beyond that, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investing,” Tisch said of Epstein in a statement Friday. “I did not accept any of his invitations and never visited his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and one I deeply regret associating with.”

Most of Tisch’s correspondence with Epstein appears to be from around 2013, according to documents released as part of the broader release of Epstein-related files. In an email dated April 21, 2013, Epstein appears to have set up Tish with someone named Katya.

“Okay, Jeffrey, I’ll wear blue loose pants and a white loose shirt,” Katya tells Epstein. “I Googled Steve Tisch, he’s an Oscar-winning producer and owner of the Giants. I’d love to meet him. My phone number is [redacted]”

A series of emails sent by Tisch to Epstein in May 2013 appear to reference a different woman whom Epstein tried to connect with Tisch. The string includes Tish’s introductory email to the woman, whose name has been redacted.

“Jeffrey Epstein is very excited for you and I to meet each other,” a May 13 email read. “I like that idea. Do you?”

Tish says he will be in New York and then Boston and proposes a meeting. He says, “Please let me know if my schedule allows you to get together.” “Your photo is great!”

Epstein wrote to Tish two days later: “She is traveling. Not sure when she will return to Florida. She is a microbiology major and is still at university, so I doubt she can travel during the week, but we’ll see. You should also make it clear that you will be organizing [sic] His ticket.”

And Tish later wrote: “Never heard back from him. Oh okay…”

The email string between Epstein and Tisch, dated April 26, 2013, includes the subject line: “Ukrainian girl.”

“Hi Jeffrey, I just had lunch with your assistant’s friend [name redacted] Who I met at your house on Wednesday morning, very sweet girl, do you know anything about her?” Tish writes.

Epstein replies: “No, but I would ask… I would get all the information, did you contact the great ass fake tits [redacted] Her character is short-lived, she has an older boyfriend who goes to acting school, 10 years her senior. “I’m glad to have you as a friend with a new but obviously shared interest.”

Tish replies: “Curious to know about [redacted] I will contact [redacted] …Prostitute or Citizen?” This is a clear reference to whether the person is a prostitute or not.

“Do you want to know if she’s as sweet as she looks?” Epstein replies. “Boyfriend? Dependable etc. He’s honest.” [redacted] A citizen, but Russian, and rarely tells the truth, but in fun.”

At one point, Epstein writes: “Send me a number to call. I don’t like records of these conversations,”

And the next day, Epstein writes: “Report now, ——You did very well, she wants to go to the play,, -she is a little nervous about the age difference, but go slowly and Vaati, I will try to convince her not to return to Ukraine, her crying will do the trick,”

Epstein, a wealthy businessman, was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in 2019. While awaiting trial, he was found dead in his prison cell on August 10, 2019. The coroner ruled his death a suicide. Epstein was accused of sexually abusing underage girls. In 2008, Epstein was charged with soliciting a minor for prostitution in Florida in 2008 and became a registered sex offender. He served 13 months of his 18-month jail sentence.

Epstein was famous for his relationships with politicians, celebrities, and business executives. The native of Brooklyn, New York began his career as a financier at Bear Stearns. He later established business operations in the US Virgin Islands. Epstein purchased a 72-acre island called Little St. James for just $8 million in 1998, and it was from there that he allegedly conducted his sex-trafficking operations, known as Epstein Island.

Epstein’s former associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, was also implicated and later convicted of related charges. She is serving a 20-year sentence in a Texas prison.

The Justice Department said Friday it was releasing several more records from its investigative files on Epstein, resuming disclosures under a law aimed at revealing what the government knew about the millionaire financier’s sexual abuse of young girls and his interactions with the rich and powerful, including Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.

A spokesperson for Harris said, “Josh Harris never had any independent relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Harris tried to block Epstein’s efforts to develop a corporate relationship with Apollo. As these emails indicate, Harris avoided meetings with Epstein, canceled meetings, and sought to withhold his calls from others.”

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch said the latest batch included nearly 3 million pages, as well as more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. The files, which were being posted on the department’s website, include several million pages of records that officials said were withheld from the documents’ initial release in December.

The documents were disclosed under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was enacted after months of public and political pressure. This requires the government to open its files on the late financier and Maxwell.
