“It’s a bigger job than just a playcaller and schemer,” Beane said last week. “I think we’ve seen guys who have been excellent playcallers, but they get to the head coach’s seat and they can’t handle adversity, conflict management. … That’s a CEO’s job. It really is. … We have to make sure we get the leadership, the CEO part.”
