Nick was in rehab at least 18 times. Tate says rehab facilities operate at varying levels of quality, but they all focus on mental illness as a common correlate with substance abuse.
Tate also points to the pressures of his career and general life that Nick may have experienced as his grandfather carl renner was “a national treasure” and her father Rob became just as, if not more, successful and famous, and her mother was also famous as a photographer and producer.
Richard says it’s common for celebrity kids to feel pressure and check into rehab treatment for substance abuse when they feel like their success isn’t on par with their family members.
On how Nick’s mental illness was being treated while in rehab, Tate told TMZ that there are “shoddy treatment centers” that aren’t providing Nick with what he needs… “That’s just the way the world works.”
