Johnson went down with a non-contact injury with 9:18 minutes remaining and remained on the floor in obvious pain. Eventually he was able to get up and sit on the bench, limping.
The Nuggets listed him as doubtful for his return due to a right knee sprain, but he did not return to the game.
After the loss, Nuggets coach David Edelman said Johnson would have an MRI and the team was hoping for the best.
