Two families are suing Meta over the suicides of their sons, accusing the technology giant of failing to implement safeguards to prevent sextortion schemes that led their teenagers to take their own lives. Tricia Maciejewski and Rosalind and Mark Downey filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the parent company of Facebook and Instagram on Wednesday. He alleges that his sons’ deaths “were the likely result of META’s design decisions…”
