San Antonio Spurs supper star Victor Wembanyama Has been ruled out of Wednesday night’s NBA Cup quarterfinal matchup against Los Angeles Lakers,
Wembanyama is sidelined with a left calf strain after the defeat Golden State Warriors On 14 November. In his absence, the Spurs have performed steady, winning eight of the 11 games he has missed, including a pair of NBA Cup group play games that helped them qualify for the quarterfinals.
In his third season, Vembanyama is averaging career highs in points (26.2), rebounds (12.9) and assists (4.0) and is leading the league in blocks (3.6) per game.
He can only miss five more games in the remainder of the season to meet the 65-game threshold required to qualify for end-of-season awards.
