We caught up with Spider to talk about his upcoming fight Tyron Woodley on the December 19th card in Miami… and the combat sports legend says his main goal is to prove his respect for the sport and his opponent.
Silva was originally supposed to go up against chris weidman …but even with the switcheroo, he’s feeling good and confident for fight night.
Of course, Spider and Woodley fought and lost to Paul… and he said he watched his rival’s bouts against the Internet Superstar as part of his training.
As far as working with Most Valuable Promotions again, Silva said the organization is doing an “amazing job”… especially with Paul “changing the game” for the fighters and fans.
While people are ready to see the two champions square off, all eyes will also be on Paul against Silva… and even though they didn’t make any predictions on the outcome, there was plenty of praise for the problem child.
Silva calls those who criticize Paul “lazy people”… because they are not putting as much work into their art as he is… they are just talking.
“People don’t give Jake credit, and people need to. I respect Jake. He’s a real warrior.”
